Hello,
My name is Nalin and I’m Niraj Sharma’s son. Sadly, Niraj passed away on the morning of December 24th 2021. His family was by his side in his final moments and in the weeks leading up to his passing.
Niraj was a pillar in the High Park community and a loyal member of Royal LePage for the entirety of his 48 year career. His death left a void in many people’s lives. He had a smile for everyone around him and knew how to make people feel special.
In 2019 we discussed the future of his real estate business and what it would look like. He never wanted to retire but he did acknowledge that he’d be winding down in the years to come. We worked together for several years and it was essential for me to honour his legacy as one of the most well respected agents in Toronto’s West End.
We decided to rename the business Sayva Real Estate. Sayva–also written as seva–means selfless service in Sanskrit. He felt it encompassed his way of being and recognized our Indian heritage.
Before we could announce the new company, my father was diagnosed with cancer. We did our best to push forward, but 2021 was a difficult year.
After he passed we received an outpouring of support from his clients, friends, and colleagues. Everyone spoke of his kind and genuine demeanour. How he was constantly cheering on other people’s success and was always happy to see them succeed.
In the days after my father left us, I knew I had to move forward with Sayva Real Estate in the most impactful way possible. His advice to me in his final days was to work hard and be happy.
Sayva is an expression of compassion for others and a genuine desire to uplift those around you. It’s what my father did every day of his 48 year career. Acts of Sayva are performed for the betterment of everyone in the group. We invite you to be part of that group.
I hope to earn your trust in continuing both this relationship and his legacy.
